An Inscribed Copper-Alloy Finger Ring from Herodium Depicting a Krater

An interesting find indeed! A ring that could plausibly have belonged to Pontius Pilate. What is incredible is that the ring was discovered nearly 50 years ago but the article was published this year in 2018! This may seem surprising, but in my studies, for example, the excavation site of Oxyrhynchus has been discussed as a treasure trove found in an ancient garbage dump. Archaeologists publish new volumes of the manuscripts found at Oxyrhynchus every year. A picture of the ring can be seen on page 213.
