Few American Teens Share the Gospel. Here’s How to Help Them

This is a short but easy intro for teaching students how to share their faith. Joe Carter’s five steps are the following:

  1. Know the Gospel
  2. Start a Conversation
  3. Share the Gospel
  4. Respond to Their Response
  5. Trust God to Do the Rest

His key to knowing the Gospel lies in answering the following:

  1. Who Jesus is, especially his identity as royal Messiah and Son of God.
  2. Jesus’s work of atonement and justification accomplished in the cross and resurrection.
  3. Jesus’s work of new creation and of rescue from the power of sin.

This is a great method as it focuses much on who Jesus is, which as he points out, is what the Apostles underscored in their preaching.
