You gain the service of an animal companion. This animal companion must be a Medium sized or smaller beast with a challenge rating no higher than 1/4, and must be approved by the Dungeon Master. It appears within an unoccupied space within range. The animal companion has the statistics of the chosen animal.
Your animal companion acts independently of you, but it always obeys your commands. In combat, it rolls its own initiative and acts on its own turn.
When the animal companion drops to 0 hit points, it disappears, leaving behind no physical form. It reappears after you cast this spell again restored to its hit point maximum.
While your animal companion is within 100 feet of you, you can communicate with it telepathically. You also have a special bond with your animal companion, granting you advantage on all handle animal checks with the animal. You are able to encourage the animal companion to go places members of its species would not normally go.
Any spell you cast that targets only you also target your animal companion.
You can’t have more than one animal companion bonded by this spell at a time. As an action, you can release the animal companion from its bond at any time, causing it to disappear.
NOTE: This spell is based off the Ranger (Beast Master)'s Animal Companion, Find Familiar spell, and Find Steed spell.
