While this project is not a replacement for software like LibreOffice, it does fit into a unique spot as being more than a text editor like Vim, not quite a first drafting prepping piece of software like Manuskript, and not a full-blown document creator and manager and word processor like LibreOffice. It fits somewhere between Vim and LibreOffice. If I wanted to create fancier files akin to RTF, the .wg files of Wordgrinder offer a full CLI-ready option. While the software isn’t polished, it is functional. Sometimes I flirt with the switch to a full CLI-only environment, and Wordgrinder would certainly be in the list of must have programs. But until I graduate seminary, I will probably have to remain attached to a GUI.
